Since 2014, the Liebfrauenkirche—a historic landmark in the heart of Duisburg—has served as a cultural venue. It offers a space for concerts, exhibitions, gatherings, and performances in a unique setting. Its prominent location on König-Heinrich-Platz, surrounded by the Theater Duisburg, the Wyndham Duisburger Hof Hotel, the CityPalais complex with the Philharmonie Mercatorhalle (Duisburg Philharmonic), the District and Regional Courts, and the Forum shopping center, provides the perfect setting for extraordinary and unique events.

The bold architecture, featuring unique translucent folded-panel walls on the upper floor, and the interior design—which includes numerous exhibits from the Catholic Pavilion at the 1958 World’s Fair in Brussels—lend the building a special charm while still providing ample space for every conceivable occasion.

The Liebfrauen Cultural Church is exceptionally well-connected by public transportation: a 5-minute walk from Duisburg Central Station, with subway and bus stops in the immediate vicinity, and more than enough parking space in the underground garage in front of the building.
